LONGEST week ever & the Hartford open house

And I mean longest week of my entire life, literally. Not in a bad way but WOW so much happened this week, and I don't even know where to begin!

Tuesday- We went out with the Goshen Elders, and introduced them to all our Progressing Investigators, so that they can take over our area while we're gone at the temple! It was way cool, but it's also super hard to teach 1. with elders and 2. with 4 people. It was cool though, They helped us with a lesson with Lynette (the one who's deaf and communicated mostly by ASL) and she's SO sweet. I love her lots. They also were able to give some of our investigators blessings, which was AMAZING and It's so cool how the Lords will is conveyed through his priesthood blessings.

Wednesday- we did a lot of things that i honestly can not remember for the life of me right now, sorry.

Thursday- We had interviews with President Miller (He told us to stop stressing about the temple open house and we were like "um pres we cant") but it was awesome! and then we had stake reporting at the temple (which is awesome if you can't tell our stake jumps at every opportunity to meet at the temple)

Friday- MOVE IN DAY wow CRAZY day all the sisters met at the church and then dispersed to the members home we were each staying in. All in all everything went pretty well at first excapt one dog ran away and then don't worry we found it. Then at night we got our own tour of the temple, which was AMAZING i HIGHLY recommend visiting this temple someday, it's phenomenal.

Saturday- VIP tours began! We got to meet a lot of the construction workers who worked on the temple! It was really cool to see how proud they were of their work!

Sunday- after church we had a tour with all the stake presidents and then we had a tour for all missionaries and their investigators, which was SO cool because our whole zone basically showed up at once, and we were able to be their missionaries in the video tent and then go through the temple tour with them because Andriy and his family showed up right at the perfect time! Andriy totally wants to get sealed in this temple and its amazing.

Monday- We had a half p-day and then we went to the temple and got trained by Elder Wilson with ALL the sisters in the mission, which was SO cool. And I got to see my MTC companion!!! (:

OKAY THE CHURCH IS TRUE AND TEMPLES ARE AMAZING.

E. Rasband & The Busiest Week Ever

Well the title of this e-mail pretty much sums it all up. This was, in fact, the busiest week ever. I don't have a ton of time to say everything that happened, so I will sum it all up.

1. Elder Rasband and Elder Gong came to our Mission Leadership Conference!!! It was AMAZING.
Some things Elder Rasband said:
"Resolve today to always follow your first impression"
"The 12 apostals are no stranger to the voice of Jesus Christ, our Lord"
The more you know him, the more you will love him, the more you will serve him"
THE SPIRIT WAS SO STRONG it was honestly one of the best experiences of my entire life.

We had a lot of miracles this week, but quite frankly I don't have time to tell them all. Just know that our Heavenly Father is VERY aware of who we are and about everyone around us and what they need exactly when they need it.

We had a deaf investigator come to church and it was SO cool because we got to see sacrament meeting all in sign language!

On Saturday we got to help with the landscaping at the temple, which was SO cool. ALL THE SISTERS MOVE IN THIS WEEK AND THE TEMPLE OPEN HOSUE STARTS SATURDAY I CAN'T BELIEVE IT IS HERE WOW.

The church is true, Jesus is the Christ, and if you need anything, read the book of mormon & ask the missionaries. Also today for p-day we went to Kent falls with our district (aka us and the goshen elders) and we got poured on. Also in the last email I sent pictures from zone meeting.

temple temple temple

If you didn't notice, basically this whole week revolved around the temple. To try and keep things short here, I will just tell you that pretty much all week we worked on the temple training for the sisters coming in for the open house only to find out that NOT ONLY did we have to re-do the entire training and cut it in half BUT we also are going to be over a lot more than 12 sets of sisters???? I don't know how that's going to work but I'm sure we'll figure it out ahah.

The training yesterday went well! The sisters are all super excited and in the next 11 days we hopefully will be figuring out what we're actually doing! After the training I had the opportunity to speak at the Youth Cultural Celebration Kick-off Fireside!!! They asked me to talk about my experience at the gilbert celebration and make the youth excited! So I was already pumped to talk about this (because i super loved the cultural celebration #livetrue) but THEN right before I went up to speak, they showed this video about cultural celebrations AND THERE WE ALL WERE THE GILBERT CELEBRATION MADE IT ON THE VIDEO LIKE 5 TIMES AND I WAS GOING TO CRY I WAS SO HAPPY wow it really reminded me about the spirit that temples can being and how marvelous of a work it really is.

Anyways, that's about it for this week!

interesting week

This is the first week in a long time that hasn't flown by. Actually this week was super weird time wise.

1. We picked up an investigator who speaks sign language!!

2. The temple is getting SO close

3. We had to help at our investigators vow renewal and we helped her over the past few months fold 1000 paper cranes!

4. I really think a lot more than this happened this week but it's not coming to me.

5. Andriy got confirmed!!!!

okay yeah that's all for this week woo
